Bokyung Son
I am Bokyung Son, a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Civil, Urban, Earth, and Environmental Engineering at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), Ulsan, South Korea.
My research focuses on addressing Earth science problems across diverse terrestrial regions using remote sensing and artificial intelligence.
Research Interests
My research focuses on monitoring and predicting environmental heat-related disasters—primarily drought, as well as heatwaves and wildfires—by leveraging remote sensing and other environmental big data through data-driven approaches, including artificial intelligence. I am also interested in terrestrial ecosystem monitoring. Ultimately, my research aims to accurately quantify and elucidate the impacts of environmental heat disasters on terrestrial ecosystems.
